The Los Angeles Lakers let another game slip away in a loss to the Portland Trail Blazers 105-98.
The Portland Trail Blazers celebrated the 40th anniversary of their championship with a big win over the Lakers. The Lakers blew a 14-point lead and missed 13 shots down the stretch to allow the Blazers to come back and grab the win.
Lou Williams led the team with 31 points on 10 of 20 from the floor. Los Angeles still has the league’s best bench production. Jordan Clarkson added 22 points as the team’s second-leading scorer, in 35 minutes of work.
Los Angeles collapse in the final minutes was simply due to the erratic play of Julius Randle. Head coach Luke Walton had to sit him down after missing three of the thirteen shots late in the game.
