Lakers Even The Score Against Milwaukee, 113-103.
- Updated: March 7, 2020
The big showdown between the two best teams in the NBA is all even, as the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Milwaukee Bucks 113-103 last night in Los Angeles.
To quote LL Cool J, “The big showdown, the display is a skill,” this game was one of the most anticipated games of the regular season with the two leading candidates for the league MVP award. LeBron James faced off against Giannis Antetokounmpo in a true classic battle, with LeBron winning the battle, the war and the game as well.
The Lakers are 20-0 when LeBron scores 30 points, James scored 37 points, 8 assists, and 8 rebounds with 3 steals. Anthony Davis scored 30 points with 9 rebounds but was in foul trouble while guarding Giannis. The Lakers made the adjustment and switched Davis to guard Wesley Matthews and LeBron on Giannis.
This made the difference and changed the outlook of the game.
The duo of Davis and James did something that Shaq and Kobe never did, both scored 25 points in the first half of the game.
Giannis scored 32 points 11 rebounds and added 6 assists but was puzzled by the shutdown defensive effort of James. He suffered a bloody lip that required some stitches and had a
noticeable limp after the game. The Bucks starters did play well, All-Star Kris Middleton scored 12 points, former Laker Brook Lopez added 13.
James is now 15-5 verses Giannis in his career, that’s the third-best record between two MVP players. James also has the same record against Russell Westbrook.
