Lakers End Losing Streak With A Big Win In Philly

@LakersNation

The Lakers finally got rid of their eight-game losing streak with a big win over the Philadelphia 76ers,
100-89.

A wire to wire win for the Lakers in route to their eleventh win of the season. Los Angeles started off the game on a 13-0 run and never trailed in this game. Los Angeles led by 12 points after the first and 13 at the half. A 22-point lead in the third quarter was cut to seven by the end of the third quarter, but the Lakers maintained the lead to win by eleven.

Julius Randle led Los Angeles in scoring with a season-high 25 points and 9 rebounds. Lou Williams added 18 off the bench. Williams now has 16 straight games with at least 13 points. Larry Nance Jr. came off the bench to lead the team in rebounds with 11 in 34 minutes. Los Angeles showed great balance in scoring, Clarkson, Russell, and Nick Young all scored in double-figures.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS FOR THE LAKERS:

Despite the 20 turnovers, the Lakers showed better numbers in shooting from the floor. 45.6% including a not bad percentage from the three-point stripe at 30%. The Sixers shooting was the difference as they only shot 36% from the floor and a very dismal 19.4% from the three-point line.

NEXT UP FOR THE LAKERS:

Los Angeles (11-18) can enjoy this win for now but tomorrow night they will travel to Cleveland to face LeBron James and the World Champion Cavaliers. This will be a tall task after a good win, but nothing is easy in the NBA on the road for any team.
