Lakers Edge Celtics, 108-107

Despite a slow first quarter, the Lakers managed to edge-out their arch-rivals Boston Celtics, 108-107, at the Staples Center.
Los Angeles only scored 15 points (A season low) in the opening period, but the pace picked up before the halftime only trailing by nine.
The second half was better as the Lakers outscored Boston 63-54 for the win. Los Angeles scored only 16 points in the previous meeting with Celtics on November 8.
Boston’s Kyrie Irving led all players with 33 points, but the Lakers star of the game was Kyle Kuzma leading the charge coming off the Los Angeles bench. Kuzma scored 28 points (17 in the fourth) and added five 3-pointers. Jordan Clarkson also came off the bench and added 22 points in 34 minutes. The bench combination of Nance, Clarkson, and Kuzma managed to outscore all of the Los Angeles starters.
NEXT UP FOR THE LAKERS:
The road trip continues from the Windy City of Chicago. Los Angeles will take on the Bulls on Friday night. Los Angeles is now 18-29 for the season. Still with this young team growth and patience are the two key components of this season.
