Lakers Earn First Home Win of Season, Beat Wizards 102-99

The Los Angeles Lakers won their first home game of the season last night in a 102-99 overtime victory over the Washington Wizards. There was a lot of talk about this game and Los Angeles rose to the challenge to beat the unbeaten Wizards.
Marcin Gortat started the talk stating that John Wall would eat Lonzo Ball alive for 48 minutes. Wall struggled from the field in the first half picking it up with a flurry in the 3rd quarter. He finished with 18 points 9 assists and 3 rebounds.
Bradley Beal led the team in scoring with 28 points. Otto Porter added 12 and Gortat recorded a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds. Jodie Meeks reached double-figures off the bench with 11.
For the Lakers Brandon Ingram had 19 points and 10 rebounds. Larry Nance Jr. added 18 and 10 himself. Ball flirted with a triple-double having 6 points, 10 assists, and 8 rebounds.
Kyle Kuzma and Julius Randle were in double figures off the beach with 15 and 11 points respectively. Randle hit one the biggest shots of the night, a 3-ball that gave the Lakers life with 20 seconds to go.
Los Angeles will take on the Toronto Raptors on Friday night at the Staples Center.
