Lakers Can’t Handle Grizz Fall 128-119

The Los Angeles Lakers continued their road trip when they travelled to Memphis to take on the Grizzlies last night. They were unable to keep the pace as this high scoring affair ended with a 128-119 defeat.
Jordan Clarkson led the way for the Lakers with 28 points including 6 three pointers. Clarkson also had 3 assists and 6 rebounds while D’Angelo Russell chipped in 22 points and 8 assists and 4 rebounds.
Kobe Bryant had a quiet night with 13 points and Julius Randle had a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds. Lou Williams and Brandon Bass each reached double figures off the bench with 22 and 11 points respectively.
For Memphis Matt Barnes had a big night. The former Laker had 25 points and 8 rebounds. Mike Conley had a strong game as well with 24 points and 8 assists and 6 rebounds.
P.J. Hairston had 17 points and Zach Randolph reached double figures as well with 14 points and 9 rebounds. JaMychal Green added 12 points and 9 rebounds, and Brandan Wright chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds off the bench.
Los Angeles struggled on the defensive end once again. Memphis shot 57% from the field while the Lakers shot just 44%. Both teams took care of the ball as the Grizzlies only committed with 9 turnovers while the Lakers committed just 7.
Up next the Lakers will take on the Grizzlies on Friday night at Staples Center.
