Lakers Add James Worthy To Coaching Staff

EL SEGUNDO, CA- According to Marc Spears of Yahoo Sports, the Los Angeles Lakers have hired James Worthy as an assistant coach to work with the big men.
Hall of Famer & former Lakers star James Worthy has been hired by the team to work with the big men.

Worthy is a former player and Hall of Famer with his jersey number 42 hanging in the Staples Center. He will join the Lakers staff and travel to Hawaii with the team for training camp.
Lakers head coach Byron Scott spoke on the hiring.
Byron on James Worthy assisting the coaching staff: “You’ve got one of the best post players who’s ever played the game.”
