Lakers Acquire Jose Calderon

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical the Los Angeles Lakers have acquired point Jose Calderon from the Chicago Bulls.
Chicago has traded guard Jose Calderon to the Los Angeles Lakers, league sources tell @TheVertical.

Mike Bresnahan of Time Warner Cable also reported the news.
Lakers will absorb veteran point guard Jose Calderon into their salary-cap space. He will make $7.7 million next season.

With the shocking news that Dwayne Wade would be taking his talent to Chicago the Bulls needed to clear salary cap space. Los Angeles having the cap space was able to absorb Calderon’s contract and in return accquire two second round picks.
In 2014 the Lakers did a similar move in the offseason. They acquired Jeremy Lin and a first round pick that ended up being Larry Nance Jr.
