Lakers Erase 19-Point Deficit To Beat the Kings
- Updated: November 11, 2016
The Los Angeles Lakers showed signs of improvement in their 101-91 win over the Sacramento Kings.
The fifth win of the season was very impressive, last season the fifth win came on December 22 of last season. Lou Williams came off the bench to lead the team in scoring with 21 points. Williams was 9-18 from the floor, including three clutch 3-pointers that kept the Kings baffled. Sacramento at one point led the team by 19-points, but the Lakers cut the deficit to three points by the end of the third quarter.
Kings center DeMarcus Cousins led all scorers with 28 points but wasn’t able to keep his cool against former Kentucky Wildcat, Julius Randle. Four of the five Lakers starters were in double figures. Luol Deng only had two points in the twenty minutes played but added six key rebounds. Larry Nance Jr. also managed to grab seven rebounds coming off the bench.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
They are getting the results from the free-throw line. The team shot 72% from the line in last night’s game.
Rebounding was one of the keys to the victory as well. The Lakers out-rebounded the Kings by a 50-48 margin.
