LA Kings Try To Extend Division Lead

The LA Kings will try to extend their Pacific division lead when they take on the St.Louis Blues tonight at the Staples Center.

Los Angeles comes into tonight’s game with a 26-12-2 record, while the Blues sport a 23-14-7 clip. St.Louis has lost their last 5 games with their most recent loss coming against the Anaheim Ducks 4-3 last night.

Jake Allen was removed in last night’s game for a disclosed injury. Brian Elliott filled in for Allen and made 25 saves for the Blues’ in the loss.

Jay Bouwmeester also left the game due to a upper-body injury and did not return last night. Paul Stastny left the game with an upper-body injury in the first period and did not return either.

St.Louis is led by Vladimir Tarasenko and Alexander Steen. Tarasenko leads the team with 43 points, 24 goals and 19 assists.

Steen is second on the team with 37 points on the season, 13 goals and 24 assists. Los Angeles needs to kick the Blues while their down and get another victory tonight!
