- Updated: January 27, 2016
The LA Kings will take on the Colorado Avalanche at the Staples Center on Wednesday night. Los Angeles is coming off a 3-2 overtime win over the San Jose Sharks.
The Avs are coming into this game with a 26-22-3 record while the Kings sport a 30-15-3 clip. Colorado has won five out of their last seven games.
Roman Will made his NHL debut on Tuesday night. Will came on in relief during the Avs big loss to the San Jose Sharks.
Colorado will be without Semyon Varlamov. Varlamov is dealing with a personal issue and was forced to miss last night’s game and today’s. With Varlamov out Calvin Pickard will most likely get the start.
Reto Berra returned to the ice and skated earlier in the week. He is dealing with an ankle injury and has been out since late December.
The Avs are led by Matt Duchene and Nathan MacKinnon. Duchene has 40 points on the season, 22 goals and 18 assists. MacKinnon also has 40 points on the year with 17 goals and 23 assists.
Los Angeles will get Milan Lucic back after he served a one game suspension for his sucker punch.
