LA Kings Look For 3rd Straight Win Against Penguins

The LA Kings are looking for their third straight win when they take on the Pittsburgh Penguins this afternoon at the Staples Center.

Los Angeles is coming off of back to back overtime wins against the Chicago Blackhawks and Vancouver Canucks. If today’s game is anywhere near as exciting as the last two Kings’ fans will get their money’s worth.

For Pittsburgh they have lost two of of their last three games. They will most likely be with Kris Letang who is dealing with an undisclosed minor injury. Olli Maatta has been out almost three weeks could make his return against the LA Kings. He is dealing with a upper body injury.

Pittsburgh is led this season by Evgeni Malkin. He has 25 points on the season, 12 goals and 13 assists. Phil Kessel has 17 points for the club, 9 goals and 8 assists. To my surprise Sidney Crosby has just 15 points on the year.

Anze Kopitar sealed the win for Los Angeles on Tuesday night. The Kings have won 9 of their last 11 at home and look to continue the strong play.

Tyler Toffoli has been in a bit of a scoring drought as of late. Expect him to be aggressive and try to find the back of the net.
