The LA Kings will take on the Calgary Flames on Tuesday night at the Staples Center. Los Angeles is coming off a overtime win against the Nashville Predators over the weekend.

Calgary comes into the night with a 26-29-3 record, while the Kings have a 34-20-4 clip. The Flames have lost four of their last five games.

Calgary completed a minor trade yesterday. Hunter Shinkaruk was traded for Markus Granlund. Kris Russell was out of lineup on Sunday for a lower body injury. It is unknown if he will play tonight at the time of this writing.

For the Kings Anze Kopitar practiced yesterday and is listed as day-to day. Jon Rosen of Lakingsinsider.com reported some details on the injury.

Calgary is led by Johnny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan. Gaudreau leads the time with 57 points, 22 goals and 35 assists. Monahan is second on the team with 39 points, 17 goals and 22 assists.

With the Anaheim Ducks playing some excellent hockey as of the late the Kings need to win to and collect points to hold on to that Pacific Division lead.
