- Updated: December 9, 2014
The Los Angeles Kings began a 5 game road trip with the Buffalo Sabers tonight and were shutout 1-0. Tyler Ennis scored a third period goal that would be the lone goal of the night.
The Kings are now on a two game losing streak following the loss to the Sabers tonight. They lost to the Philadelphia Flyers at home last time out.
While the Kings outshot the Sabers 34-16 tonight, it wasn’t enough to get the win. While Buffalo has been inconsistent this year, one thing they have going for them is beating the Kings at home. In the last 14 meetings in Buffalo the Kings are just 1-11-1-1.
They were a few family affairs in tonight’s matchup. Kings Right wing Jordan Nolan faced off against his father Sabers coach Ted Nolan. Also, the left-wing of the Sabers Matt Moulson faced off against brother-in-law Jonathan Quick.
With the loss tonight the Kings road woes continue. They are just 3-5-4 on the road this season.
The Kings will take on the Ottawa Senators for the next game in Ontario on Thursday night.
