LA Kings Eliminated From Playoff Contention

The LA Kings were eliminated from playoff contention tonight with a 3-1 loss to thCheck out his thoughts here.e Calgary Flames. With the last week of season being must win situations the Kings loss some crucial games and were unable to beat the odds and make the playoffs.

In tonight’s game it was Johnny Gaudreau who scored a wrist shot goal to put the Flames on the board 1-0. Jiri Hudler and Dennis Wideman assisted on the goal. Two minutes later it was Hundler’s turn as he scored a slap shot goal that was assisted by Mason Raymond and Wideman. This gave the Flames a 2-0 lead heading into the second period.
In the second period neither team was able to gain traction and score goals. Finally in the third period Jordan Nolan scored a wrist shot goal that was assisted by Alec Martinez and Mike Richards.
With 15 minutes left the Kings still had hope to comeback and force overtime. The two sides battled back and fourth and with a minute left the Kings pulled Jonathan Quick from the net.
The Flames were able to capitalize when Hudler scored his second goal of the night to give the Flames a 3-1 lead and victory. Sean Monahan and Johnny Gaudreau where credited with the assist.
Tonight’s loss eliminates the Kings from playoff contention. It’s been a great ride and Kings fans cannot be bitter with how this season ended.
