LA Chargers Lose To Carolina, 21-16.

The Los Angeles Chargers looked out of sync as the fell to the Carolina Panthers, 21-16.
This was a very tough game, without the Panthers star running back Christian McCaffery. The Panthers forced four turnovers three turnovers led to 12 points, while Joey Slye of the Carolina kicked five field goals to seal the win, for rookie Head Coach Matt Rhule.
Justin Herbert was stellar in the second start of his career. Herbert was 35/49 for 330 yards with one touchdown pass to Keenan Allen and one interception.
Allen led all receivers with 132 yards as Herbert to Allen combination connected 13 times. Austin Ekeler was able to grab 11 passes from Herbert for 84 yards. Ekeler was a force on the ground as well, with 59 yards rushing on 12 carries. Rookie Joshua Kelley played an important role as the team’s number two running back, gaining 43 yards on 8 carries.
The loss drops the Chargers to 1-2, third place in the AFC West, one game behind the Champion Kansas City Chiefs and the Las Vegas Raiders, and one game above the winless Denver Broncos. The Chargers will have another NFC South opponent the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and future Hall Of Famer Tom Brady. The Bucs are coming in leading the NFC South at 2-1, after beating the Broncos in Denver, 28-10.
