Kyle Clifford Struggling With Rehab Progression

@LAKings

According to Jon Rosen of lakingsinsider.com Los Angeles Kings left winger Kyle Clifford is not showing any signs of progress during his rehab.

Here is a excerpt from Rosen on lakingsinsider.com.

“Kyle Clifford (head) has not returned to practicing with the team since suffering an injury when he was elbowed in the face by Tampa Bay’s Victor Hedman on December 6, and I’ve been told by hockey operations that he’s “not any closer” to resuming skating.”

Clifford is a former second round pick of the Kings back in the 2009 NHL draft. Clifford has spent his entire career with Los Angeles, winning the Stanley Cup in 2012 and 2014.

He appeared in eighty games last year totaling 15 points with six goals and nine assists. So far in 2015 he has played in 26 games totaling three points, 3 assists.

Los Angeles was hoping to get Clifford back in the lineup sooner rather and than later but it looks as if there has been some type of bump in the road.

As more information surfaces on Clifford and the injury we will keep you up to date.

    I must have missed the results of Hedman’s elbow that caused Cliffy’s current malaise. Can someone catch me up? I know there was no suspension, but was there a fine? A warning? Anything?

      Sorry for the late reply. The league decided to not look into it for whatever reason.
