Kuzma’s Shot Lifts Lakers Over The Nuggets, 124-121.
- Updated: August 11, 2020
Kyle Kuzma’s three-pointer with four seconds left helped to secure a three-point win over the Denver Nuggets, 124-121.
The slumping Lakers found a decent groove as they finally put the pieces together for a solid win over a good team.
Lebron James and Anthony Davis were able to display their versatility as they scored 29 and 27 points, and James showed off his excellent passing skills with 12 assists.
One of the big reasons why the Lakers prevailed was able to hold one of the hottest players in check. Micheal Porter Jr. was perfect from the field (6-6) and perfect from the three-point line (3-3) but only scored 15 points total. No Nuggets players scored over 20 in this game.
The Lakers bench only played three players that combined for only 28 points, as JR Smith, Quinn Cook, and Jared Dudley did not see any action.
The three-game skid is over and now the team will focus on their final game on Thursday night against the Sacramento Kings before their playoff run.
