Kole Calhoun Lifts Angels Over Astros

ANAHEIM, Ca- Kole Calhoun drove in 2 of the Angels 3 runs on Friday night to lift the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim over the Houston Astros 3-2.

Jered Weaver got the start for the Halos. He pitched 6 innings allowing 5 hits and 2 runs. He also stuck out 7 and walked 2. He picked up his 7th win of the year.

On the other hand Dallas Keuchel was on the bump for the Astros. He also pitched 6 innings allowing 5 hits and 3 runs, none of them earned. He struck out 7 and walked 3 as he was awarded his 7th loss of the season.

The Angels scored all 3 of their runs in the 2nd inning. Erick Aybar was able to score on a wild pitch. Calhoun followed with a 2-run single that brought in Carlos Perez and Taylor Featherston and gave the Halos a 3-0 lead.

In the 6th inning Carlos GOmez hit a 2-run home run to center field. His home run brought in Carlos Correa and cut the lead to 3-2.

Huston Street came on in the 9th inning for the Halos and closed the door on the game. It was his 34th save of the year. The Angels and Astros will continue their series tonight at 6:05 p.m. PST
