Kobe Returns In Lakers Win 107-100

Kobe Bryant returned to the court last night and the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Memphis Grizzlies 107-100. Los Angeles was on a four game losing streak entering tonight.

Tony Allen went a perfect 12/12 from the field and scored 27 points in the loss. Zach Randolph added 16 points and 6 rebounds. Lance Stephenson also scored 16 points off the bench and Jordan Farmar made his NBA and Staples Center return and scored 8 points off the bench.

For the Lakers Jordan Clarkson scored 22 points to go along with 5 rebounds. Bryant added 20 points including 17 in the second half. Julius Randle recorded a double-double with 13 points, 5 assists, and 14 rebounds.

D’Angelo Russell struggled but scored 11 points. Los Angeles got great contributions from Brandon Bass and Lou Williams off the bench. Bass added 18 points and 6 rebounds and Williams added 13 points. Metta World Peace was ejected last night for arguing with officials.

Both teams shot about 50% from the field with the Lakers taking advantage of their free throw attempts. LA converted on 23 of 24 attempts compared to the Grizzlies shooting 16/23 from the line.

The Lakers also outrebounded the Grizzlies 40-33. Los Angeles will hop back on the court tonight when they take on the Phoenix Suns in Arizona.
