Kobe Bryant Excited To Start Season

Kobe Bryant will be back on the court tonight ladies and gentlemen. It seems like it has been eternity since Kobe took the floor and Laker fans don’t be afraid you aren’t the only ones happy that he’s back.
Tonight will be the first time since December 17th, 2013 that Bryant will lace them up for the Lakers in a regular season game. Baxter Holmes of ESPN.com asked Kobe about his thoughts on returning. Bryant had this to say:
It’s step one of a long journey,” Bryant said after his team’s practice at their facility here Monday. “I’m excited to get back out there. I can’t say I haven’t missed the game. I’ve missed it so much.”
It has a been a long journey for Bryant and the quote above shows that he is ready and be back. Kobe Bryant had a strong preseason which has fans even more excited for his return. In a game against the Phoenix Suns he showed flashes of what we are all used to seeing from him down the stretch as he hit clutch jumpers.

Lakers head coach Byron Scott stressed that he will work to preserve Bryant’s legs this season. He stated that Bryant will play in between 30-40 minutes, something vastly different that what Mike D’Antoni had in mind.
The Lakers are coming off their worst season in franchise history with plenty of doubters already for this year. The Lakers will take on the Houston Rockets tonight at home.
