Kings Trade Dwight King
- Updated: March 1, 2017
According to Pete Blackburn of FOX Sports the Los Angeles Kings have traded Dwight King to the Montreal Canadians.
LAK trade for Iginla is pretty solid. At best, they got him for absolutely nothing. At worst, they swapped him straight up for Dwight King

Jon Rosen of lakingsinsider.com shared his thoughts on the trade.
Suspected we’d see a Dwight King trade. UFA at the end of the season; nothing going, negotiations-wise. MTL gets a very good penalty killer.

Rosen continued.
Disappointed to walk into LA’s room & not see Dwight today. Always exudes class. Very smart guy who explains & breaks down the game so well.

Rosen added further details.
No exact details, but told conditions of the fourth are “upgradeable depending on team playoff success or player re-signing with the club.”

King is a former fourth round pick of the Kings back in 2007. He has spent his entire career with the club winning two Stanley Cups.
So far this season King has played in 63 games and totaled 15 points. King was a fan favorite and will be deeply missed.
