Kings Take On Flyers In Home Opener

The Los Angeles Kings will take on the Philadelphia Flyers tonight in their home opener at Staples Center. Los Angeles comes into tonight 0-1 after losing on the road to their arch rival the San Jose Sharks.
The bigger loss is that All-Star goalie Jonathan Quick was injured in the game and will unavailable tonight. The club placed him on the injured reserve last night.
Philadelphia has sent down Jordan Weal to the AHL in order to make room on the roster for Roman Lyubimov. Travis Konecy made the opening night roster for the club.
With Quick out Los Angeles called up Peter Budaj yesterday. He will serve as the backup goaltender to Jeff Zatkoff for the time being.
Los Angeles is looking to notch their first win of the 2016-2017 season at home in front of their fans. Let’s start the home campaign on a positive note!
