Kings Skate Pass Sharks 3-1

The Kings scored two power-play goals on their way to a 3-1 win over the San Jose Sharks tonight. While the Kings have struggled recently they put together a solid effort from start to finish.
The Sharks struck first when Joe Pavelski scored in the opening period. Tyler Toffoli answered back at the end of the period to tie the score at 1-1. The Kings controlled the first period as they had 12 shots on goal to the Sharks 6.
Anze Kopitar scored a power play in the second period that was assisted by Marian Gaborik and Jeff Carter. While the Kings outshot the Sharks in this period they were able to convert on their opportunities.
Jake Muzzin would add the final blow as he scored a power-play goal in the third period. The goal was assisted by Drew Doughty and Anze Kopitar.
With the win, the Los Angeles improve to 18-11-7. They will take on the Calgary Flames in Canada on Monday night. Los Angeles looks to continue their work this season.
