Kings Place Jonathan Quick On IR

According to Curtis Zupke of the Los Angeles Times, the Los Angeles Kings have placed goaltender Jonathan Quick on the injured reserve.
Kings announce (30 minutes after all of us media left) that Jonathan Quick is on IR – week-to-week with a lower-body injury.

Official word from the Kings…adding that Jonathan Quick will go on injured reserve shortly. Status, again, is week to week.

Quick suffered a lower-body injury in the first period of last night’s opener against the San Jose Sharks. For Los Angeles this is devastating news and will need Jeff Zatkoff and Peter Budaj to step up in a major way.
Los Angeles will play their home opener against the Philadelphia Flyers at Staples Center. Fans can tune into the game a 7:30 p.m. PST
