Kings Host Flames As Playoff Race Heats Up

The Los Angeles Kings take on the Calgary in a pivotal game as the regular season winds down the club will need as many points as possible.

The point race is tight. Los Angeles is two points behind the Anaheim Ducks who they will play in a big game on Friday night. They are tied in points with the St. Louis Blues for the final wild-card spot but the Blues have a game in hand.

Los Angeles is led by Anze Kopitar and Drew Doughty this season. Kopitar has 86 points on the year, 33 goals and 53 assists. Doughty has 55 points, 9 goals, and 46 assists.

For the Flames, they have lost five games in a row entering tonight’s contest. They are led by Johhny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan.

Gaudreau leads the team with 82 points, 23 goals, and 59 assists, while Monahan has 64 points, 31 goals, and 33 assists.

Los Angeles needs this game late in the season. Fans can tune and watch the game 7:30 p.m. PST or listen on the NHL APP or go the game at the Staples Center.
