The Los Angeles Kings extended their win streak to seven in a row as they beat the San Jose Sharks 2-1 tonight. I’ll say it again the Kings are playing their best hockey of the year and tonight was no different as they beat the Sharks at Levi Stadium in front of 70,000 + fans.
There was a lot of talk of how playing outdoors would affect the players and the Kings seemed unaffected at the start. Kyle Clifford scored a tip-in shot that was assisted by Jake Muzzin to give the Kings a 1-0 lead.
Brent Burns answered for the Sharks as he sent a wrist shot past Jonathan Quick to even up the score. Tommy Wingels was credited with the assist.
In the second period it was back and forth with neither side scoring. The Sharks had a few power plays but nothing was able to come out of it.
In the third period it was none other than Marian Gaborik who sent slap shot by Antti Niemi which would be the game winning goal.
Quick continued his strong play tonight with 31 saves.
With tonight’s win the Kings winning streak extends to seven in a row. They picked up two huge points which moves them into the playoffs if they were to start today.
Up next for the Kings is the Detroit Red Wings who they will play host to on Tuesday evening.

Mario, it was 70,205 officially. 75K + would’ve made it 2nd highest attended NHL game ever.
Thanks!
