Bishop is a former third round pick of the 2005 NHL Draft by the St.Louis Blues. He has spent time with the Blues, Ottawa Senators and Lightning throughout his career.
Bishop made the NHL All-Star game last season. Jonathan Quick just made his return to the lineup last night in a win over the Anaheim Ducks. With that being said it is an interesting move for Los Angeles to make at this point in the season. At the same time the move does provide goal tending depth for the Kings playoff push down the stretch of the season.
