Kershaw Leads Dodgers To Victory
- Updated: June 5, 2016
Clayton Kershaw is not human.
Kershaw entered Saturday’s game vs the Braves with a 1.56 ERA, tied with Jake Arrieta for best in the MLB. Kershaw somehow found a way to lower his ERA to 1.46 on Saturday, tossing 6 shutout innings against a Braves team that can’t seem to catch a break.
Let’s pick this one up in the bottom of the 3rd. With Kershaw at 2nd, Seager at 1st, and Turner at the plate with 2 outs, an RBI single to center plated Kershaw giving the Dodgers a 1-0 lead. The lead would remain 1-0 until the bottom of the 8th when LA opened this one up.
RBI’s for Pederson, Ellis, and Grandal gave the Dodgers a 4-0 lead into the 9th, and LA would go on to win by the same score. Blanton, Báez, and Jansen each tallied a scoreless inning of relief out of the bullpen to help shut this one down.
