Jansen has been out with a foot injury and has been working his way back to health. Pedro Moura of the Orange County Register reported that Jansen velocity has returned.
Kenley Jansen said his average fastball velocity in his rehab assignments has been 92.5 mph. He’ll be activated Saturday.

When Jansen returns they will ease him back into the closer role. It seems like there is no better time for his return after Yimi Garcia blew a save last night.
The Los Angeles Times reports the following:
In a more permanent move, at least the Dodgers hope, closer Kenley Jansen is scheduled to make a final rehab appearance Wednesday. Jansen, who has been out since February after foot surgery, said he will be activated Saturday.
“The Dodgers have already made 12 changes to their 25-man roster. On Tuesday, Bolsinger will become the fourth Dodger to have been called up twice this season.
Jansen said he hasn’t pitched since the playoffs last October and understands if he is not immediately returned to his role as closer. In his absence the bullpen has performed very well, although no has stepped forward to claim his interim closer role. Yimi Garcia, however, has made himself look like a legit eighth-inning guy, posting an 0.63 ERA and 0.56 WHIP in 14 games.”
