The news of the surgery is blow for the Dodgers bullpen who struggled last season particular since Jansen was so good last year.
Last season Jansen posted a 2-3 record to go along with a 2.76 ERA and 44 saves. ESPN Stats & Info reported his strikeout rate was ranked in the top 5 in the league.
Dodgers P Kenley Jansen out 8-12 weeks with foot injury. Jansen averaged 13.9 K per 9 last season, 4th in MLB (minimum 50 IP)

The Dodgers will need to look around a find a way to fill this void as soon as possible. Bob Nightengale of USA Today reported that the Dodgers could go after free agent pitcher K-Rod although the price may be steep.
K-Rod is seeking $10 million contract but with #Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen out 8-12 weeks after foot surgery, LA could be nice fit.

With Spring training right around the corner the Dodgers will keep all options open. What do you think Dodger fans? Should the Dodgers go after K-Rod?
