Ken Griffey Jr. Gets Inducted To Hall Of Fame
- Updated: January 7, 2016
Ken Griffey Jr. got inducted into the Hall of Fame yesterday. Yes I understand Griffey has nothing to do with what we cover here at CaliSports News but as a member of the IBWAA ( Internet Baseball Writers Association of America) I was excited to see that the members of our society got it right. And when I mean right I mean Griffey received 100% of the votes.
100% > 99%. The @IBWAA rests its case. #SwatTheVote

As a member of the IBWAA I get the privilege of voting on the end of the season awards, as well as the Hall of Fame ballot. This was the first time that I was able to vote with other members of the IBWAA and here are the results of the society.
@IBWAA elects Ken Griffey, Jr. unanimously & Edgar Martinez. Bags, Piazza & Raines previously elected. #SwatTheVotepic.twitter.com/HQWTeKNRIy

Griffey is a true legend of the game and not only deserves being in the Hall of Fame but is worthy of 100% of the vote. He did set the new record of highest percentage and I know at the end of the day as long as you get in that’s all that really matters.
Congratulations Ken Griffey and great job to all of my fellow members of the IBWAA.
