Allen will not be available for this weekends matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. This is a big blow for the Chargers as Allen leads the team in catches, receiving yards. and targets this season.
The wideout had struggled the last few weeks when his team needed him the most. He has recorded just 5 catches for 21 yards against the New England Patriots and Denver Broncos combined.
The injury bug has bitten the Chargers throughout the year but the Keenan Allen injury comes at the worst time. The Chargers will need to win out in order to make the playoffs most likely and will have to do so without Allen.
