Justin Upton Suffering From Right Thumb Bruise

According to Corey Brock of MLB.com San Diego Padres outfielder Justin Upton suffered a injury to his right thumb is last night’s victory over the Milwaukee Brewers.
#Padres Justin Upton injured his right thumb when he braced himself against rails down left field line making a running catch. Day to day.

Upton was in the center of the trade rumors and was not moved to many experts surprise. The rumors may have gotten to him as he has been struggling. He struck out 4 times during a game over the weekend. Brock discussed the matter further.

The injury to the thumb is not suppose to be serious and he is listed day-day. Upton was the only All-Star for the Padres this season and his pending free agency this summer looms over the team.
