Johnson has not pitched in the Majors since 2013 and he is working to comeback after having Tommy John surgery in 2014.
Corey Brock of MLB.com reported further on Johnson’s progress.

On May 5 CBSSports.com reported the following on Josh Johnson:
“Tuesday, Johnson said he felt “a little triceps tightness” last Wednesday. The day before, he threw a pair of 20-pitch “innings” at Petco Park — his first simulated game action since he underwent Tommy John surgery last April.
“I’m feeling much better,” Johnson said Tuesday. “The next day (last Thursday), it was all gone. I got it worked on. Actually, there for about a month, I didn’t have anything at all, so it was going really well.”
“He was a little sore … but he’s doing better,” Padres manager Bud Black said. “Like we’ve said all along, along the course of a rehab, there’s little bumps in the road, and this is a little bump. A linear path doesn’t happen in most cases.”
The Padres are hopefully that he can return soon and make an impact this season. As more information comes out we have you covered!
