Johnny Giavotella Heads To Triple-A

According to Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim infielder Johnny Giavotella has cleared waivers and is heading to Triple-A.

Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times also reported the news.

Giavotella sent out this heartfelt message to his fans last week when his future was uncertain.

Giavotella is a former second round pick of the Kansas City Royals back in the 2008 MLB Draft. He spent four years with the Royals before joining the Angels two seasons ago.
This season Giavotella has played in 99 games and is hitting .260. Although Giavotella is a fan favorite Bill Eppler and the Angels front office decided to place him on waivers.
