Joey Bosa Drama Continues
- Updated: August 8, 2016
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN San Diego Chargers rookie Joey Bosa has not spoken to the club since July 28th due to their contract dispute.
Chargers and No. 1 pick Joey Bosa haven’t had contact since July 28. Bosa holds out like Rivers, LT, Jammer, Merriman once did. No end close

In a Facebook comment that was obtained by the Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union Tribune, Bosa’s mother was quoted saying she “wished they would have pulled a Eli Manning.”
For those who don’t remember the Manning drama, the Manning family had no interest in Eli playing for the Chargers. After San Diego selected him they immediately traded him the New York Giants for Philip Rivers and Eli has gone on to win two Super Bowls with New York.
The options are becoming more limited as time goes on. San Diego can trade him up until Tuesday but it will be interesting to see what kind of package they could get for the disgruntled rookie.
One thing that is for sure that if Bosa does get the contract situation solved he will be coming in way behind the eight ball. By him missing all of the reps and training camp it not only hurts his learning curve but doesn’t help build team unity either.
