Joel Peralta To Begin Rehab Assignment

According to J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles News Group, Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Joel Peralta will begin a rehab assignment with the Class A Rancho Cucamonga Quakes on Thursday.
Rehab status: Brandon League: Rancho tomorrow Joel Peralta: Rancho Thurs Brandon Beachy: Camelback Ranch Thurs SVS: Rancho, probably soon.

Peralta was brought over from the Rays in a trade early in the offseason. He has been dealing with pinched neck in his neck.
Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register reported that Peralta was progressing by throwing off the mound earlier last week.

Peralta has been out since April 23rd and there is no timetable for his return. It’s nice to hear that he is progressing and we will monitor his progress in the minors.
