Joe Smith Lands On 15-day DL

According to Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have placed reliever Joe Smith on the 15-day disabled list due to a strained hamstring.
The Angels have placed Joe Smith on the DL (hamstring), DFA’d Javy Guerra and called up Mike Morin and David Huff, who is starting today

Pedro Moura of the Los Angeles Times also reported the news.
Mike Morin and David Huff are with the Angels today. Joe Smith has been placed on the disabled list. Javy Guerra is no longer on roster.

Smith has been dealing with the left hamstring injury for a little while. Moura reported that he was having issues.
Joe Smith has had a sore L hamstring for weeks, he revealed today. That’s why the trainer visited him today and he was unavailable Tuesday.

Smith filled in for Huston Street when Street went down and took over the closer duties. At this time he will be reevaluated after the 15-days to see how he is feeling.
