Jen Pawol To Umpire In Gulf Coast League

According to the official Twitter account of minor league baseball Jen Pawol has been assigned to umpire in the Gulf Coast League for the 2016 season.

Pawol will be the first female umpire in minor league baseball since 2007 and the first in the Gulf Coast league since the late 70’s. Pawol will be the 7th female umpire in Minor league baseball history.
Pawol played softball for Hofstra University where she played shortstop and catcher. He went on to play for the USA women’s team and got her start umpiring Division one softball.
