Jamey Wright Retires

@DodgerBlue1958

According to Ken Gurnick of the Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Jamey Wright has announced his retirement.

Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register provided further details on the retirement.

Plunkett also reported.

Wright is a former first round pick of the Colorado Rockies in the 1993 MLB Draft. Wright spent time with the Rockies, Brewers, Royals, Rangers, Dodgers, Mariners, Rays, Giants, Cardinals, and Indians throughout his career.

In 2014 he posted a 5-4 record with the Dodgers to go with a 4.35 ERA. Wright was attempting to make the Opening Day roster and once that didn’t happen he was ready to move on from baseball.

We would like to thank Wright for his services throughout the game of baseball and to the Los Angeles Dodger organization.
