According to Corey Brock of MLB.com San Diego Padres pitcher James Shields is leading the league in home runs allowed.
James Shields, on leading the big leagues in HR’s allowed (14): “I guess the only people who are going to be upset are the fantasy owners.”

As you can see Shields isn’t too worried about the number of home runs he’s given up. Brock reported that even though he’s giving up home runs it could be a lot worst.
Get this: #Padres James Shields has allowed the most HRs (14) in baseball but 12 of those have been solo jobs. The others? Both 2-run shots.

Shields has been as good as expected for the Padres so far this season. His 5-0 record is up with the league leaders. He’s also among the league leaders in strikeouts trailing only Corey Kluber of the Cleveland Indians as of Wednesday night.
It’s been a great start for Shields and we look forward to seeing more of him this season!
