Jakob Silfverberg Expected To Play Saturday

ANAHEIM, Ca- According to the Anaheim Ducks official Twitter, Anaheim Ducks winger Jakob Silfverberg is expected to play on Saturday.

Silfverberg was the victim of a illegal hit to the head in a preseason game against the Sharks. Raffi Torres who is known for being a dirty player received a 41 game suspension for the hit.

Dan Wood of the Anaheim Ducks reported that Silfverberg was back on the ice yesterday.

It is a good sign that Silfverberg was able to skate in practice. We are hopeful that he will be good to go for the opener and be able to stay on the ice throughout the rest of the season.

Many consider the Ducks to be the favorites to win the Pacific division and will need to be at full strength to do so.

As more information surfaces on the Ducks and the Jakob Silfverberg injury we will keep you updated.
