Jaden Schwartz Beats LA Kings In OT

Jaden Schwartz who has missed most of the season due to broken ankle scored the game winning goal in overtime to beat the LA Kings on Thursday night 2-1.
The first period was all bad for Los Angeles. Anze Kopitar went down with lower body injury and was forced to leave the game and did not return. At the time of this writing there was no update on the injury.
Robby Fabbri scored a snap shot goal goal that put the Blues up 1-0. His goal was assisted by Jori Lehtera and Colton Parayko.
The second period saw no goals from either side but Los Angeles did out shoot the Blues 13-7 in the period. Tyler Toffoli came through with the game tying goal early in the third period. His goal was assisted by Jeff Carter and Drew Doughty.
Schwartz goal in overtime went unassisted and was his 3rd of year. Although Los Angeles did not get the win they did walk away with at least one point.
Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick made 30 saves for a 93.8% save percentage. Brian Elliott made some excellent saves throughout the night and made 34 saves for a 97.1% save percentage.
Up next for the Kings is the Nashville Predators on Saturday night.
