JJ Redick Signs With Philadelphia 76ers

JJ Redick

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski former Los Angeles Clippers Shooting Guard J.J. Redick has chosen to sign a one-year contract with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Redick signed with the Clippers back in 2013 and ever since has started every game he has played with the franchise except for one.

Known for his 3-point shooting, Redick added an outside scoring touch to the Clippers wing shooting a career high 47.5% from beyond the arc in the 2015-16 season.

The 33 year-old will surely be missed by his former team as his personality and work ethic were favorites in the locker room. However the salary he was commanding on the open market was something Los Angeles clearly felt was too steep as the team builds around franchise star Blake Griffin.

The former Duke Blue Devil also appears ready for the change of scenery.

Best of luck to JJ and his family in Philadelphia.
