Injury Report – Los Angeles Lakers Update
- Updated: January 7, 2015
It is no secret that the Los Angeles Lakers have been plagued with injuries this season, from the veterans to the rookies. Let’s take a look at some of the injuries as they stand today, complete with updates.
Julius Randle
Today, the Lakers announced that rookie Julius Randle underwent a surgery on his right foot to “fix an issue that dated back to high school.” Which was a big reason for his “fall” in the 2014 draft, apparently.

The Lakers announced the following regarding Randle:
“Randle had a screw replaced in the fifth metatarsal of that foot, which he initially got after breaking the foot during the beginning of his senior season in high school.
The surgery was performed by Dr. David Thordarson of the Cedars-Sinai Orthopaedic Center. Randle, who is sidelined for the season after breaking his right leg during his NBA debut, is expected to make a full recovery.”
Ronnie Price
Ronnie Price had a rough game on Monday night. The player left the court covered in blood following an elbow to the face from a Portland Trail Blazer. It turns out he was taking a charge from Thomas Robinson and began to bleed profusely. He returned to the game after a trip to the locker room and returned with 11 stitches on his nose. He was on track to have a great game though! He finished with 11 points and eight assists in 27 minutes.
