Inconsistency Strikes Again: LA Kings Lose 3-2 In OT
- Updated: January 17, 2015
The Los Angeles Kings showed off their inconsistency again tonight as they lost to the Anaheim Ducks 3-2 in OT.
It was a memorable game for the Kings faithful as controversial player, Rob Blake, had his jersey retired and lifted to the banners following an interesting history with the team.
The Kings scored the first goal of the game:
and we have our first go4l of the evening! Martinez with a shot from the point and the #LAKings up by 1.

NHL.com reports the following about the Anaheim Ducks first goal:
“Ryan Getzlaf tied it 1-1 with his 14th goal at 14:19 of the second. Getzlaf won a faceoff and went to the net to chip in a rebound off Corey Perry’s initial shot. The Kings have had trouble protecting the front of the net lately and could not get a body on Getzlaf and Patrick Maroon.”
The Kings Twitter account had a little fun with fans as the Anaheim Ducks came back into the game when the score hit 2-2:

And every Kings fans; heart stopped when we found out the game was going to a shoot out, as they don’t usually end well for the Kings.
Oof. and we’re heading to a shootout.
