Huston Street Contract Talks Stall

(Photo via Twitter User )

According to Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register Los Angeles Angels pitcher Huston Street has made little progress in contract talks.

Street who represented himself in recent years hired Alan Hendricks to take over negotiations this year. Fletcher reported that Street is looking for a four-year deal worth between 36 and 46 million dollars.

To say that Street is on the back burner could be an understatement. With the whole Josh Hamilton situation the Angels front office is probably a little more focused on that than an extension for Street.

That doesn’t mean a deal won’t get done. Street has done his part on the field and is producing so far this season as well. He has 4 saves so far this season in four attempts and if the Angels want to make a deep playoff run the bullpen will always be a key factor.
