Hornets Buzz Past Lakers 101-82

The Charlotte Hornets buzzed past the Los Angeles Lakers last night 101-82 last night. Kobe Bryant scored 23 points in 23 points but it wasn’t enough as the Lakers woes continued.
With the loss the Lakers now sit at 9-41 while the Hornets improve to 23-25 on the season. Los Angeles has now lost ten in a row and is tied with the longest losing streak in team history.
Micheal Kidd-Gilchrist led the way for the Hornets. He had 19 points, 3 assists, and 12 rebounds. Marvin Williams also added a double-double as well. He had 19 points and 12 rebounds in 25 minutes.
Kemba Walker reached double figures with 12 points, and Frank Kaminsky added 11 points off the bench. For Los Angeles, Jordan Clarkson reached double figures 13.
Lou Williams added 11, and Julius Randle had a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. D’Angelo Russell scored 10 points off the bench.
Los Angeles struggled to stop the Hornets in the second quarter. They gave up 37 points in the quarter that put them in a hole that they couldn’t climb out of.
They also struggling shooting the ball once again. Los Angeles shot just 34% from the field including 28% from behind the line. Los Angeles was outrebounded by 17, giving up 14 offensive rebounds.
It was an all-around poor effort for the Lakers and they will look to regroup on Tuesday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night. Fans can tune in and watch the game on NBATV.
