We like to start our day searching the web and reading articles about our beloved LA sports teams. For this edition, let’s dive into the news surrounding the San Diego Chargers.

The city of San Diego will be holding an election regarding the potential new stadium in December, according to the Los Angeles Times:

“After an hour-long meeting Monday with Chargers representatives, San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer announced that the city is prepared to hold a Dec. 15 special election to seek voter approval to build a stadium to replace aging Qualcomm Stadium in Mission Valley.

The NFL had warned San Diego that waiting until November 2016 for an election might be too late – that the Chargers already may have decided to move to Carson.”

ESPN.com reports there is still no sign of Eric Weddle at OTAs:

“The 30-year-old veteran safety is skipping workouts due to frustration with the San Diego Chargers‘ front office because of the team’s unwillingness to participate in negotiations in a contract extension.

The workouts are voluntary, so Weddle isn’t losing any money. However, if he does not show up for mandatory minicamp beginning next week, Weddle could be fined up to $70,000.”
